ਬਸੰਤ ਪੰਚਮੀ

Basant Panchami welcomes spring. Punjabi Hindus associate the day with Saraswati, goddess of learning, and wear yellow to mirror the blooming mustard fields. In Punjab it is also historically a kite-flying festival. It is observed across communities as a seasonal and cultural marker more than a strictly religious one.
