ਲੋਹੜੀ

Lohri celebrates the passing of the winter solstice and the winter harvest. Families gather around a bonfire, offering sesame (til), jaggery (gur), popcorn, and peanuts to the flames while singing folk songs, notably the ballad of Dulla Bhatti. It is a shared cultural and seasonal festival across Punjabi Sikh and Hindu households, especially celebrated for newlyweds and newborns.

In the US
